Career Exploration Program
The Career Exploration Program is a high school transition program that gives students the opportunity to explore varied work experiences in their community. Rather than providing specialized training towards one career interest, the Career Exploration Program provides exposure to a range of work environments and tasks. Students learn about the business they visit and practice job specific tasks, helping them identify their career likes and dislikes and discover their abilities and strengths. In addition, students gain confidence from engaging with supervisors, workers, and customers.
- Ideal for students whose teams have identified transition needs as a necessary support on their Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Options include two days a week or three days a week
- Classes take place during the school year
- Ask us about scholarship and additional funding options.
